Grounded in the Master Adaptive Learner framework, coaching principles, and competency-based medical education.

Nurture Education Design creates evidence-informed tools that help clinical educators translate established principles of learning and coaching into everyday teaching practice.

The NEST Framework (Nurturing Education through Structured Teaching) provides a simple, repeatable structure for brief clinical teaching encounters. NEST supports learner agency, observation and critical thinking, self-reflection, targeted feedback, and collaborative goal setting—behaviors aligned with the Master Adaptive Learner (MAL) cycle.

Designed for busy clinical environments, NEST helps educators move from identifying a learner’s need through experience, reflection, feedback, and an intentional next step—all within the flow of routine clinical care.

NEST does not introduce a new theory of learning; it provides a structured, point-of-care approach for translating established principles of adaptive learning and coaching into routine clinical teaching.
